Beyond Motorcycles — Extending Brand Aesthetics to the Workshop
This client specializes in high-end bicycles and heavy motorcycles, demanding more than just durable custom toolboxes. They require a unified design style, smooth detail lines, and even precise sound and tactile feedback when opening cabinet doors.
During our first meeting, they showcased how their “vehicle design philosophy” extended to maintenance spaces, tool cart layouts, and storage habits. Their meticulous approach inspired us to refine our internal manufacturing SOPs.
From Manufacturing to Co-Design
Initially interested in our mid-range cabinet line, the project quickly evolved into collaborative design work:
- Hidden Door Trim Design: No visible handles when closed, with smooth and silent operation. We improved slide mechanisms and recessed handles, iterating samples until achieving the perfect balance of force and angle.
- Surface Finish Standards: They chose a matte, sand-textured European-style coating, requiring flawless paint coverage on every edge. We refined our coating process to deliver a calm yet industrial warmth.
- Structural Optimization: Maintaining load capacity while reducing weight by 10% through rib design and base structure optimization for greater mobility.
From Function to User Experience
